BIO Born and raised in Indonesia, Dewi and Andre's lives were steeped in the rich tapestry of food and hospitality. Growing up, their parents frequently entertained guests, and the Indonesian tradition of preparing homemade meals for visitors became an integral part of their upbringing. Dewi, a licensed realtor and part-time language instructor, was born in Central Java, while her husband Andre hails from West Sumatra. When they relocated to Washington DC, they expected to find a diverse culinary scene that would resonate with their Indonesian heritage. However, they were disappointed to discover a lack of dishes that reminded them of their homeland. Determined to make a change, they took matters into their own hands and founded JAVA COVE
