Foxs Market House Restaurant Limited
Dining Room needs Cleaned!
“The last time I was there I was with three others. I noticed the dining room was very dusty and dirty. We were seated in a booth by the window and I noticed the window sill was covered with ants. I pointed this out to the waitress who simply replied, 'yea, that happens all the time, I am not sure why'. Needless to say we immediately left and we don't plan to return. I can't imagine what the kitchen must look like after seeing the dining room.”

Genetti Manor
Genetti Wedding
“Dear Mr. Genetti, \n \nMy husband and I had our wedding reception at Genetti Manor in Dickson City on October 1, 2011. Your business came highly recommended from my husbands family, as they had attended several events at Genetti Manor throughout the years. During the planning process, I set aside one week to come to Pennsylvania (from Florida) to visit several possible reception sites and I concluded my week with a trip to see Margaret in Dickson City. \n \nMargaret showed us the different rooms that were available for receptions and it was obvious that you had a beautiful facility. At that point, I did not have a clear idea in my ind as to what I wanted my reception to look like, but your rooms were beautiful and I could envision celebrating in one of the ballrooms. Particularly, for me, it was Margarets enthusiasm and kindness that set Genetti Manor apart from the myriad of other facilities we visited. Her professionalism, knowledge, and pleasant demeanor were unmatched. Margaret gave me plenty of information and took the time to answer all of my questions regarding planning, communication, food, entertainment, etc. Moreover, she prompted and answered questions I had not even thought of. After meeting with her, I came away with a confidence that I didnt imagine was possible during the overwhelming wedding planning process. She is the reason that I decided that day to book with your venue. \n \nFollowing our initial meeting and during the year leading up to the big day, my questions were answered promptly with the information I requested. Our menu-planning meeting went smoothly because of Margaret, as she was ready with helpful suggestions and recommendations based on her extensive experience with event planning. \n \nOn the day of our wedding, the Princess/Embassy ballroom glistened with the beautiful chandeliers and decorative lighting. As for set up, it was clear that your staff attended to every detail. Everything was set up thoughtfully with a lot of time and effort. The evening flowed smoothly and your staff did not miss a beat. Everyone was very polite and attentive. It could not have gone better! \n \nIn addition to Margaret, I would also like to give special thanks to a couple of individuals that made our reception extra special. First, John, our manager for the evening. John catered to our every desire and made sure the bride was always happy! He was right there when I needed him, yet obviously overseeing the entire event and making sure it was 1st class. I thought it was epsecially sweet that he made sure I got all the frosting off of my face after the cake cutting. I am aware of many things that he did throughout the evening, for me and my guests, that werent necessarily in his job description, but he undertook them with enthusiasm and graciousness. John is a class act and a wonderful representation of your company. \n \nAlso, thanks to Marlene and Ryan. They couldnt have been sweeter and I am so grateful to them both for their hard work throughout the evening. They too were present throughout the evening to ensure our guests had a first rate experience. \n \nOf course, I cant forget to compliment the food! Our meal was superb. I had heard the food was good at Genettis, but wow! It was fantastic. Since the wedding we have received so many compliments from our guests, and I have Genettis chef to thank. Also, the cake was everything I wanted and more. Hats off to your chef and pastry chef. \n \nIn sum, if I had to do it all over again, I would choose Genettis again and again. I will always remember these special individuals, as well as the collective effort from your entire staff that made our wedding reception unforgettable. \n \nWith Much Thanks and Appreciation, \n \n~Michael and Sarah Brady \n \n”

Konefals Restaurant and Catering Service
Wedding Nightmare
“July 7, 2001, Had our wedding reception here. The bartender refused to serve me (the groom), The servers rushed the food, throwing away my meal and drenching MY wedding cake in disgusting strawberry ice cream, and the bartender proceeded to come out to the dance floor and dance instead of do his job. How anyone here got paid for this is a miracle, cause i sure as hell paid too much for this bull.”

Banquets Unlimited
Go anywhere else!!
“Gave it one star because it wouldn't let me leave it at zero.\n\n\nThis guy is a crook!! Something came up and we had to cancel our wedding plans with them (over a year in advance mind you) and he refused to refund our initial deposit.\n\n\nThe point of the deposit is to prevent the banquet hall from getting screwed out of a date, and I understand that.....but over a year in advance the date is EASILY re bookable. And $500 for doing nothing and providing no services at all seems incredibly criminal doesn't it? Wouldn't even let us use it toward catering another event....ridiculous.\n\n\nAfter reading most of the reviews on the internet I'm glad we didn't have our wedding there anyways. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else....this place is NOT what it seems when you first visit. And the owner is a complete scumbag. Wouldn't return my phone calls and only replied to my e-mails in one or two word answers...like No and Sorry.\n\n\nSooooo frustrated with this place.\n\n”
