  “My wife and I chose to have our wedding at this place. They seemed nice and pleasant in the beginning with fairly reasonable prices per person and the grounds are beautiful. We were verbally told it would be in the $15-$18 per person range depending on the menu and specifics that we wanted. So we signed a contract to have our wedding ceremony and reception at this place. As the date started getting closer, suddenly the costs went up significantly. The cost now stood at approximately $31-$32 per person not the $15-$18 that we were orginally told. At this point there was nothing we could do since the wedding was less then a month away so we had to pay the cost. Also the day of the wedding they said they would clean up the area and take care of the grounds. One of my groomsmen had to ask for a rake to clean up all the goose feces that they did not clean up in the area on the lawn where the ceremony would be held. This is despite the fact that everything was supposedly cleaned up and prepared before we got there. Also they didn't set up the room for the banquet as we had asked so we had to rearrange that as well. After the wedding was over with, I tried contacting them for over 2 weeks with no response to my phone calls to discuss these issues. Only after withholding final payment on my credit card, did they contact me. Then they were very nasty about it and were not willing to listen to me.
  
  If you plan on holding your wedding at this place, do so at your own risk. Only after booking through this place and then meeting with vendors such as DJ and cake person did we then find out that this place has caused problems for others in the past. Both vendors did the event there but were reluctant due to bad experiences with management.”
